Many of the workshops have been in schools, youth organizations and local businesses.


Creating & Making Music:

The workshops are a great way for students to get involved in creating and making music. No prior experience is necessary, only a willingness to take part and hit the drums.


Safe & Relaxed:

The workshops are held in a safe and relaxed environment. It helps to increase confidence and self-esteem amongst students and gives them a sense of belonging to a team and encourages community spirit.  Rod Pilois -(Facilitator)


African/Latin:

African/Latin and other world rhythms are taught in the workshops. Hand drums, Stick drums, bells and shakers are

also used in the ensemble pieces.


Compositions:

Original compositions such as, ‘ Latin March’, Funk/Hip-Hop ‘ Hot Donuts’ and the Japanese influenced ‘Rhythm of The Mountain’ have also been performed by ensembles at various venues.

Hamer Hall, Federation Square, Darrenbin Performing Centre, Gasworks Theatre, Immigraton Museum, School of Rock, Invanhoe Arts Centre, Dandenong Plaza, Parkmore shopping Centre, Waverly Gardens, Manor on High
